GráLove began when a mother and daughter, living thousands of miles apart, wanted to create something that celebrated kindness.

Their inspiration came from Deb’s longtime pen-and-ink “insta-smile,” Grá Pal, a grinning heart she’d been drawing for decades in journals, on notes, and across napkins, a joyful reminder that even the simplest gesture can shift the tone of a day. Not a statement. Just a smile, meant to spark another.

Grá means love in Irish; from affection for a partner to an informal term of endearment when greeting a passerby. A word that honors simple kindness, a smile offered, a door held open, a gesture that says I see you. Grá Pal carries that message.
